Detailed and cautious, examiners love complicated puzzles. Usually happy to work on their own, they are task-focused, analytical individuals. Extremely process-oriented, 
examiners are problem-solvers who can spend hours checking and re-checking their own and others’ work, if you let them. They love lists and information overload and prefer to work slowly – don’t push an examiner for an instant answer. At their best they are excellent analysts who can find and solve problems and process complex information. At their worst can be pedantic and stubborn – insisting that all the i’s are dotted and all the t’s crossed.
Cautious and fastidious, examiners are the methodical personality type of the PURE system. They are generally calm and unemotional. Like rulers they are task-focused and logical – with less awareness of emotional issues than persuaders and unifiers. Like unifiers they are introverted and change-averse, preferring things stay just the way they are.
Examiners are interested in how a job should be done, more than getting to the end result. They are extremely process-oriented and can make things needlessly complicated if allowed to include every detail in their reports. They are the archetypal engineer personality type who can be prone to analysis paralysis – there’s just so much information to process!
Examiners are not pushovers, however – if you challenge their findings or try to instigate change without sufficient explanation of why change is necessary, they will dig in and refuse to budge.
